Import Auto has worked on 3 different cars of mine - from a transmission replacement on a 1986 Saab 900 to an oil cooler on a 2013 Mercedes - and they have always provided excellent workmanship and customer service. Daniel, the owner, runs an honest shop and has a reputation for getting it right or making it right, which is why I towed a car there from 4 hours away after it broke down on vacation instead of letting a shop where I was in North Carolina fix it.

I've been living in Lexington for over two years now, and I've been going to Import Auto to maintain my car. All of the staff there are nice and patient. Heidi advised me on how to reduce my towing costs; When my car was in an accident (which was completely unrelated to them), Daniel promptly helped me capture the plate number of the fleeing driver, which fastened the process to get the compensation I deserved from the insurance company. When I needed a new car inspection, Susie arranged my most convenient appointment. I truly feel that folks from Import Auto are helping their customers solve problems. As long as I'm in Lexington, I'll keep going to them to take care of my car.

Call Susie. Set your appointment or stop thru and they will get to you in-between scheduled clients IF TIME allows. Daniel & staff are the ONLY crew that I trust with my Audi A6 Quattro & M5 BMW. TRUST, INTEGRITY, HONEST, UNDERSTANDING, FRIENDLY, AFFORDABLE, WILLING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, WISDOM! Are all the words that come to me when I deal with Import Auto Specialist.

I've been taking my vehicles up here for years. I trust them! That's the most important thing when someone works in my car. They aren't squeezing every dollar out of me. They got my business after Audi is lexington couldn't figure out a problem i was having. Took it to Daniel, he drove it. Immediately knew what was wrong, fixed it right then for like $75.

They also work on domestic vehicles so I bring my Ram 1500 in for repairs. Daniel and his team are honest and trustworthy and always take care of my Ram. I just had the spark plugs replaced and they even aired up my tires. Highly recommend taking your vehicle to them. Thank you so much for such great service.

Great service. Staff is knowledgeable and KIND. This is the only place I’ll be taking my Audi from now on. As a woman, taking my car to have work done can be intimidating but that has never been the case at Auto Import Specialists. They take the time to explain everything they’re doing, allow me to ask questions, and never make me feel overwhelmed or like I don’t know what I’m talking about. Recently I was having issues with my brakes and they went above and beyond to resolve the issue and prevent further problems without charging me an arm and a leg. I cannot recommend them enough.

Best car repair in Lexington! Daniel Wells and his crew are consistently wonderful in the quality of work they do, the prices they charge, and the advice they give. Their assessments are always thorough, honest, and thoughtful. They warranty their work and they honour the warranties; there was a time they re-did work for me, without me even noticing that it was under warranty. Otherwise, I've never had work that they did that needed to be redone; their work lasts. They have done a great job taking care of my Volvos. They managed the dual feat of getting one to 362,295 miles with sensible, well-done repairs - and, when it no longer made any sense to keep the car on the road, managed to get that through my (rather stubborn) head. The Import Auto team preaches pre-purchase inspections. They could make more money if their customers buy lemons; they don't want that and will steer people away from bad decisions. As an added bonus, everyone who works there is always so lovely and pleasant. Thank you, all, for being who you are.

These folks have worked on 2 of my BMW’s and 1 Mercedes. They do fantastic work and they stand behind their repairs. They have done a lot of work for me and I’ve never had a repair to fail. As long as you follow their recommendations, they guarantee their work and parts for 36 months. They are very professional and they have earned my trust. Mike and Eric are great to work with. I highly recommend them!
